Writing Habits III
I started journals for several reasons…One for academic projects, in which I write about my current or upcoming essay, reflect on the working progress, or draw mind maps to keep my ideas organized.
Another one (the green one) is my creative journal. Here I write down any ideas coming up for my novels and all that’s got to do with inspiration, motivation and fun! For example, quotations, pictures, passages from books I like for a particular reason (word-choices, characters, style, dialogue or what else), comics, drawings to illustrate my days etc. Basically all that helps me to stay in touch with my creativity.
A third one is a reading journal, in which I put quotations from any books I read and reflect on those quotations, which really helps when writing academic stuff because I have a place to develop my own voice and thoughts before I for example use those for my academic writing. Sometimes this overlaps with the creative journal, which I haven’t found a solution for (yet), but overall I think, it doesn’t really matter…Strangely in this journal I ended up in only numbering the uneven pages (How that happened? Of that I don’t keep information, neither in journal nor in my head ;) )
A fourth one will be joining my collection soon, as a kind of diary. (Although in the pictures are already four ones (the third black one will be the next academic journal)
How’s everyone else working? Would love to read answers ;)
